Mango Cucumber Smoothie (Print version)

Sweet mango meets crisp cucumber in a cooling, hydrating blend with coconut water and a splash of lime.

# What goes in:

→ Fruit & Vegetables

01 - 1 large ripe mango, peeled and diced
02 - 1 small cucumber, peeled and chopped

→ Liquids

03 - 1 cup coconut water or plain water
04 - 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

→ Optional Add-ins

05 - 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup (optional, to taste)
06 - 4–6 fresh mint leaves (optional)
07 - Ice cubes (optional, for serving)

# Cooking steps:

01 - Place the peeled and diced mango, chopped cucumber, coconut water (or plain water), and fresh lime juice into a blender.
02 - If using honey or agave syrup and fresh mint leaves, add them to the blender. Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
03 - Taste the blended smoothie and adjust the sweetness level by adding more honey or agave syrup as needed.
04 - Add ice cubes if a colder, thicker consistency is desired and blend again briefly to incorporate.
05 - Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve right away for the freshest flavor and texture.

# Tips from flavorandfeast:

01 -
  • It comes together in five minutes flat and requires exactly zero cooking skills, which I proved by making it while still half asleep.
  • The cucumber makes it thirst quenching in a way regular fruit smoothies never quite manage, and the mango brings enough sweetness that nobody guesses theres a vegetable involved.
02 -
  • Once I tried making this with an underripe mango and spent ten minutes chewing through fibrous bits, so learn from my mistake and wait until that fruit feels like a stress ball.
  • Peeling the cucumber matters more than you think, because the skin can make the whole drink bitter and slightly chalky in a way that sneaks up on you after the second sip.
03 -
  • Chop and freeze your mango in advance, and you can skip the ice cubes entirely while getting a thicker, more intensely flavored drink.
  • A tiny pinch of salt, seriously just a pinch, makes the mango taste noticeably more tropical and balances the lime in a way that will make people ask what your secret is.
