# Cooking steps:

01 - Place the sliced bananas, milk, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and honey or maple syrup (if using) into a blender.
02 - Add the ice cubes to the blender.
03 - Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 30–45 seconds.
04 - Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.
05 - Pour into glasses and serve immediately, garnished with banana slices or a drizzle of peanut butter if desired.

# Tips from flavorandfeast:

01 -
  • It tastes like a chocolate peanut butter milkshake but secretly fuels your body with real fruit and protein.
  • Frozen bananas do all the thickening work, so you never need yogurt or ice cream to get that velvety texture.
  • Cleanup is just one blender and two glasses, which is my kind of math after a long morning.
02 -
  • Freeze your bananas ahead of time by peeling and slicing them into a zip bag, because blending a fresh banana with ice gives a watery result that breaks your heart a little.
  • Cocoa powder will puff into a cloud the moment you drop it in the blender, so add it last and put the lid on quickly unless you want your counter dusted in chocolate.
03 -
  • If the smoothie feels too thick to pour, add milk one tablespoon at a time rather than a big splash, since a little liquid goes further than you think once the blender catches it.
  • For the best presentation, drizzle peanut butter down the inside of the glass before pouring, which creates those beautiful streaks that make a simple smoothie look like it came from a juice bar.
