# Tips from flavorandfeast:

01 -
  • It tastes like a cherry chocolate sundae but packs enough protein to actually fuel your recovery.
  • Frozen cherries do double duty here, adding both bold flavor and a creamy texture without needing yogurt or ice cream.
02 -
  • Always put the liquid in before the frozen ingredients or you will end up with a blender full of stuck fruit and a motor that sounds genuinely angry.
  • Taste the shake before adding any sweetener because some protein powders are already quite sweet and you can easily overdo it.
03 -
  • Frozen cherries are the single most important ingredient for getting that thick, spoonable consistency without watering anything down.
  • If your protein powder is unflavored, double the cocoa powder and add a pinch of salt to make the chocolate flavor taste richer and more complex.
