Air Fryer Radish Chips (Print version)

Golden, crispy radish slices air-fried to perfection with olive oil and spices for a light crunchy snack.

# What goes in:

→ Vegetables

01 - 7 oz fresh radishes, washed and dried

→ Spices & Seasoning

02 - 1 tbsp olive oil
03 - 1/2 tsp sea salt
04 - 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
05 - 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
06 - 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

# Cooking steps:

01 - Trim both ends from the radishes and slice them thinly into rounds, approximately 1/16 inch thick. Use a sharp knife or mandoline slicer for uniform thickness.
02 - Place the radish slices in a mixing bowl. Add olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and optional garlic powder and smoked paprika. Toss thoroughly until every slice is evenly coated.
03 - Set your air fryer to 355°F and allow it to preheat for 3 minutes before adding the radishes.
04 - Spread the seasoned radish slices in a single layer across the air fryer basket. Cook in multiple batches if needed to prevent overcrowding, which causes uneven cooking.
05 - Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time. Monitor closely during the final 3 minutes as the chips can brown quickly. Remove when golden brown and crisp throughout.
06 - Transfer the finished chips to a wire cooling rack. Allow them to cool for 2 to 3 minutes, during which time they will become even crispier. Serve immediately for optimal texture.

# Tips from flavorandfeast:

01 -
  • They transform into the most addictive crispy snack while being incredibly light on carbs
  • The air fryer does all the hard work, leaving you with practically zero cleanup
02 -
  • Overcrowding the basket is the fastest way to end up with soggy instead of crispy chips
  • They continue to crisp after removing from the air fryer, so do not be afraid to take them out slightly early
03 -
  • A mandoline slicer creates perfectly uniform chips that cook evenly every time
  • The thinner you slice them, the more potato chip like they become in texture
