Sweet pineapple rings caramelized to perfection with cinnamon, lime, and optional chili heat.

→ Fruit

01 - 1 medium ripe pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced into 1/2-inch rings

→ Topping

02 - 2 tbsp brown sugar
03 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
04 - Zest of 1 lime
05 - Pinch of chili powder (optional)

→ To Serve

06 - 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
07 - Chopped fresh mint (optional)

# Cooking steps:

01 - Preheat your air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
02 - Pat the pineapple slices dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
03 - In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, lime zest, and chili powder if using.
04 - Dip each pineapple ring into the sugar mixture, pressing gently to ensure both sides are evenly coated.
05 - Place the coated pineapple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
06 - Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking, until the pineapple is golden brown and caramelized.
07 - Transfer to a serving plate and drizzle with honey or maple syrup. Garnish with chopped fresh mint if desired.

# Tips from flavorandfeast:

01 -
  • The air fryer creates that perfect caramelized crust without heating up your whole kitchen or standing over a hot grill
  • Its ready in under 25 minutes but tastes like you spent all day making something special
  • The combination of sweet, warm spice, and bright citrus makes each bite feel like a little escape
02 -
  • Dont crowd the basket, I tried to fit too many slices once and ended up with uneven cooking and soggy spots
  • The sugar mixture can burn quickly if your air fryer runs hot, check at the 8 minute mark the first time you make it
  • Room temperature pineapple cooks more evenly than cold from the fridge, let it sit out while you preheat
03 -
  • Use tongs to flip the pineapple halfway through, the sugar gets incredibly hot and I learned the hard way that forks dont provide enough distance
  • If your pineapple isnt quite ripe enough, a quick 30 second dip in a mixture of equal parts sugar and water before coating helps speed things along
